George Bairaktaris, Postgraduate Researcher from the Advanced Technology Institute at the �鶹��Ƶ, was selected as symposium speaker to present the paper ‘. Here he described the technology used on the Next Generation Paper project, which offers a new form of interaction with digital displays using the pages and binding of a physical book as the interface.

The �鶹��Ƶ team attending the conference was led by Radu Sporea, Lecturer in Semiconductor Devices who commented, “this presentation was part of the wider participation of my team at the leading event in the display and large area electronics community. Overall, we had five communications which have consolidated our contribution to new electronic system design, spanning revolutionary microdevice design, energy-efficient electronic circuits and real-world applications bridging the virtual and the physical world”.

In Display Week’s first ever virtual conference the team also presented the project in the virtual I-Zone. This consisted of a virtual booth, demo videos and the opportunity for real-time chats with participants.

Reflecting on the conference, George said, “Display week was full of exciting new display technologies presented by leaders in the field and we are very happy to present our own work on Next Generation Paper to such an audience.”
