Â鶹ÊÓƵ and National University of Singapore Joint Research Collaboration for Exchange Students
The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (FHMS) at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ is thrilled to introduce the inaugural round of the joint research collaboration PhD exchange programme in partnership with the National University of Singapore for outstanding PhD candidates.
Overview
The aim of the programme is to train scientists in cross-disciplinary research focused on cardiovascular disease. PhD students from the Â鶹ÊÓƵ or National University of Singapore will have the opportunity to spend up to two years in England or Singapore, respectively.

The ideal candidate must have a research topic aligning with cardiovascular disease.

Information for investigators
National University of Singapore
- Â鶹ÊÓƵ PhD students will be attached to your lab for up to two years under the Non-Graduating Non-Exchange (NGNE) programme.
- Â鶹ÊÓƵ students need to pass their confirmation viva before joining the respective National University of Singapore department.
- Â鶹ÊÓƵ students should apply three to four months prior to joining the National University of Singapore via their website as a non-graduating student.
- The student will be conferred a PhD by the Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ
- The National University of Singapore PhD students will be attached to your lab for up to two years.
- These students would have passed their PhD Qualifying Examination (PQE).
- The Principal Investigator from Surrey may be officially appointed as a co-thesis adviser for these students.
- Funding for the student's living expenses during the overseas attachment will be covered by the National University of Singapore.
- The student will be conferred a PhD by the National University of Singapore.
