My research explores the experiences and aspirations of young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds or ethnic minority groups, who have completed or are currently undertaking higher/degree apprenticeships. By drawing on Bourdieu’s theory of capitals and intersectionality frameworks, I aim to examine how social, cultural, and economic factors shape their educational and career trajectories. This qualitative study seeks to shed light on the barriers and opportunities these individuals encounter, with the goal of informing future policies and educational practices to better support their development.
