Â鶹ÊÓƵ

Philippe joined the Â鶹ÊÓƵ in August 2024 as Associate Director of the Centre for Britain and Europe within the Department of Politics, also commencing his Doctoral Fellowship under the supervision of Professor Amelia Hadfield and Dr. Laura Chappell. Previously he has worked in both industry and institutions, setting up and co-Chairing the British Chamber of Commerce Defence Committee in Brussels, and having worked at the European External Action Service and NATO International Staff in Belgium. His activities broadly relate to the EU-UK Relationship with a focus on security and defence, with a specialisation in industrial cooperation and the role of international military organisations. Through the Centre for Britain and Europe (CBE), he supports the efforts of the Centre to bring a global capacity for further research and advisory work, and connects the Centre with local, national, and international partners to bring the Â鶹ÊÓƵ's expertise to the wider public.  

Beyond the University, Philippe supports a number of non-profit organisations promoting the role of youth in international organisations, and in supporting Ukraine against Russian Aggression. He is regularly called upon as a guest speaker, moderator, consultant, and advisor in Westminster and in Brussels, and is continually searching for new opportunities to help deliver the Â鶹ÊÓƵ's engagement across the UK and beyond.
