SAR multi-frequency ship detection with cross calibration with AIS data in NRT
Start date
01 May 2016End date
31 December 2016Overview
The purpose of this project was to investigate suitability of the generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT)-based ship detection algorithm for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) datasets for operational services and develop a prototype for operational environment. A second aim is to investigate comparison and/or fusion of Automatic Identification System (AIS) and SAR data with the purpose of further improving operational services in ship detection by exploiting the additional information coming from AIS data.
