Graduate Cristo Fern谩ndez Acting MA Prior to GSA, I was unaware of the value of formal acting training and the bene铿乼s of building a solid technique. GSA helped me to collate a personalized actor鈥檚 toolbox speci铿乧 to my needs as a performer and for this, I am extremely grateful. I feel that I left GSA a much more well-rounded and consistent performer than when I entered.
Graduate Ruth Carlson Civil Engineering MEng I was part of the Surrey/ICE Scholarship scheme. This meant that at the time of joining Mott MacDonald as a graduate civil engineer, I鈥檇 already had 16 months of experience there. Without that scheme and the links Surrey has with industry, I don鈥檛 think I鈥檇 be sitting in this job today!
Graduate Dominic Short Acting BA (Hons) The thing that attracted me most to GSA was the sense of community within the School. There was a much friendlier atmosphere at the audition stage, compared to other schools, it felt like my presence at the audition was valued.
Graduate Laura Loutit Musical Theatre BA (Hons) GSA isn鈥檛 just for however long your course is; it鈥檚 a community and support network you carry with you forever that supports and uplifts each and every member and I feel very lucky to be a little part of that. I think that鈥檚 very rare when it comes to conservatoire training, due to the competitive nature of the industry, but I know whenever I need it, GSA is always there.
Graduate Christina Bennington Musical Theatre BA (Hons) My strongest and fondest memories are of full school internal showings of work. I loved coming together with all the teachers and students to share what we鈥檇 been doing during the term. It was very supportive and inspiring to see the talent and individuality in the School."
Graduate Libby Ward聽 Theatre Production BA (Hons) Take advantage of being a student for as long as possible. Companies love helping students, whether it鈥檚 giving you discounts or offering you work experience during the holidays, and it never hurts to just ask the question!
Graduate Alexandra Mardell Acting BA (Hons) 鈥淒rama school training is like no other. You鈥檒l learn skills you never even intended to and make friends who will always understand you like no others.鈥
