Influencing and enhancing public policy to benefit society research
Surrey’s research in this area explores how public policies can be shaped, improved, and implemented to address societal needs and challenges. The goal is to generate evidence-based insights that can guide policy reforms and create solutions that promote social welfare, economic equity, environmental sustainability, and public health.
Our impact projects are working towards policy changes in different sectors of society, identifying gaps or inequalities in current policies, and proposing ways to make them more inclusive and effective. They are also facilitating stakeholder engagement such as events, secondments, fellowships, and expert advisory roles, to ensure that public policies align with societal goals and benefit communities equitably.
