vHive Launch 2016 at Â鶹ÊÓƵ

We’re home to the Veterinary Health Innovation Engine (vHive), a research centre, start-up and incubator dedicated to the development and adoption of new digital technologies for animal health.

Veterinary Pathology Centre | Â鶹ÊÓƵ

We have one of the UK's largest veterinary pathology centres, offering high-containment post-mortem examination facilities for livestock, equines, exotics and companion animals.

Creating ‘Healthy Homes’ for people with dementia

We’re part of the UK Dementia Research Institute’s Care Research & Technology Centre, helping to develop new ways to keep people independent in their homes, improve their general health and sleep, and reduce confusion and agitation.

Digital Health Technology Accelerator

We’re in the process of establishing a ‘one-stop shop’ for digital health innovation, known as the Surrey Digital Health Technology Accelerator. This will be a place where academics, clinicians and SMEs can come together to create innovative solutions for health problems and test their effectiveness.

At the heart of the Accelerator will be our , our world-renowned Sleep Research Centre with a six-bed ward and six individual sleep cabins, and a brand new Dementia Research Institute ‘healthy home’. This ‘healthy home’ will use a host of technologies to unobtrusively record sleep and circadian rhythms, data of which will be monitored and personalised interventions offered by healthcare professionals.
