Last semester I joined the Kaizen Team at the East Surrey Hospital for a five day rapid process improvement workshop.

The thing I enjoy the most about my PhD is getting to really dive deeply into topics that interest me. I love having the freedom to choose what areas I research, and that there are always people around interested in discussing new discoveries with me.

The course is a chance for me to upskill in terms of translation technologies, develop my understanding of the languages industries and expand my existing translation practice.

The lovely setting of the campus and serene ambience are Surrey's best features. As an international student, I was enthralled by its beauty and the welcoming people.

There’s no typical day at Hewson: it’s a fast-paced work environment with new challenges each day, and I’ve worked on over 15 different projects since starting here.

There are so many reasons why I love Surrey but I think the main one is that Surrey feels like a home away from home, everyone is so friendly and approachable and it is always so lively.
