The Â鶹ÊÓƵ was the first open day that I didn’t want to leave as soon as possible, and I wanted to continue exploring. I just knew it was the place for me.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ is a great citadel of learning.

The Music and Sound Recording (Tonmeister) course is the best of both worlds. You get to be completely immersed in the world of music while simultaneously learning about the interesting technological side of how sound is produced, manipulated and recorded.

Having studied language and literature courses in Sichuan, China, Jinlan joined Surrey to embark on what she thought was her first step towards becoming a hotel Human Resources Manager. Studying for her masters in International Hospitality Management, Jinlan thinks she might pursue a different path to revolutionise the hotel industry….

I found my Professional Training Year an incredibly valuable experience, and it was certainly rewarding to be able to use what I’ve learnt during my time at Surrey in my job.

I would absolutely recommend doing a Professional Training Year, not just to enhance technical skills and knowledge but to develop soft skills, which at times can be more important.

Studying abroad has definitely helped me decide on my career path.
